Men's Mental Health Month
This November, it is important to remind the guys in your life to take care of their mental health! (Of course, this is normally just as important for everyone!)
Here are some facts:
Men are less likely to seek how help but is twice as likely to die by suicide than women.
Men deal with mental health challenges just as often, but is simply less discussed.
Some questions to ask yourself!
What social influences cause the barrier that prevents men from seeking help?
What are some options the mental health field can offer to support the needs of men?
How should we deal with hearing negative connotations of mental health in public? How can we reduce this?
Why is talking about mental health important?
What can schools and communities do to help students that are stressed?
Recognize some signs of stress (in anyone)
Do they show disruption in sleeping or eating patterns?
Do they demonstrate difficulty in sleeping or concentrating?
Are any health or chronic conditions worsening?
Do they increase in bad habits or experience adverse reactions?
Do they avoid or neglect responsibilities or subject themselves to self-isolation?
Is there a loss of motivation, commitment, or confidence?
